Terms of service
Effective November 3, 2026.
My Paper Library (https://mypaperlibrary.com) is operated by Wikivec Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”). By connecting My Paper Library to an AI assistant or using this website you agree to these terms.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account.
What the service does
My Paper Library lets your AI assistant work with your own Zotero library through Zotero's Web API, using access you grant on zotero.org or a key you create there. When you ask, it searches and reads your library, formats citations, adds items using public metadata services (Crossref, DataCite, arXiv, PubMed, Open Library), changes tags, collections and notes, and checks items against Crossref and the Retraction Watch database. It never deletes items, files or notes.
My Paper Library is independent. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Zotero, the Corporation for Digital Scholarship or Anthropic. Your use of Zotero stays subject to Zotero's own terms.
Check the results
Metadata from public services can be incomplete or wrong, a DOI found for an item is a match we judged likely, and a retraction check is only as current as the records it reads. Check citations and retraction status before you rely on them in published work.
Acceptable use
- Connect only Zotero libraries you are allowed to access.
- Don't try to get around usage limits, for example with many accounts, or use the service to overload Zotero or the metadata services.
- Don't use the service in breach of any law or of Zotero's terms.
Plans and payment
The free plan includes 300 library requests, 20 PDF reads and 25 saved or changed items a month. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
Availability
The service depends on third parties (Zotero, the AI assistant you use, the metadata services and our hosting providers) and may be interrupted or changed. If Zotero withdraws access to its API for this service, we'll refund the unused part of any paid period. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
